Hi, my name is Vanya. I’m 18 years old and I'm from Ukraine. I am graduating from high school this year. My specialization is programming but that doesn’t mean I can actually do something :) I love cooking, sleeping a lot and listening to music!
Why did you choose to become a volunteer this year?
Last summer I understood that I wanted to change something in my life. Volunteering seemed like something new and I thought it was a great first step for change.
Why did you choose Narva in particular?
I was in a youth exchange with people from Narva and they invited me here ahah
In which organization are you volunteering and can you explain what you are doing exactly? Please, describe us a typical day in your organization.
I’m volunteering in a school called Narva Keeltelütseum. Usually I help teachers with checking homework and make sure the kids are well behaving.
My typical day starts at 8 a.m. with a lesson for a small group of eight grades. Then I attend the lessons with 6-9 year old children. If teachers need some help, they text me and if I'm free I will help them. After school, I join Zoom lectures at my college, from which I am graduating this year.
What was the funniest moment you spent here?
Every new day is funnier than the previous one, so the funniest moment is still waiting for me!
