Basic trauma education

Workshop for youth workers and educators
20-21 May | Tallinn
Workshop for youth workers and educators
Basic trauma education
Trauma-Informed approach is actively being implemented in professional fields, education, and youth work. This approach is based on understanding the mechanisms of psychological trauma and its impact on a person's life. Professionals with knowledge of trauma and its consequences can help participants and learners cope with traumatic events, learn self-regulation, and recover.

Trauma-informed work includes adapting programs to the participants' experiences, creating a safe and supportive environment and structure for restoring self-regulation.

This will be the focus of the workshop on May 20-21. It will also cover embodiment, working through the body, and gaining a deeper understanding of oneself.

Facilitator:
Mark Walsh - author of the books 'Embodiment', 'Working with the Body in Training and Coaching', and 'Embodied Meditation'. Co-founder of the Embodiment Facilitator Course and the online Embodiment Coaching Certification. He has certified over 1000 trainers. Learn more: https://embodimentunlimited.com/mark-walsh-bio/

The working language is English. At the end of the training, participants will receive a certificate of completion.

The training organizers will cover the accommodation costs for participants and one dinner. Participants will cover the rest of their meals independently.
