The aim of Roots & Routes is to strengthen the capacity of youth workers, educators, and youth leaders to foster dialogue, reconciliation, and community resilience in contexts affected by conflict, polarization, and social tension.
Roots & Routes is an international youth cooperation project that brings together organizations from across Europe to develop innovative, trauma-informed, and dialogue-based approaches in youth work. The project combines research, training, and practical tools to support inclusive youth work, peacebuilding, and long-term social cohesion.

Key Activities
  • Research and mapping of reconciliation and dialogue practices in youth work
  • Development of an online Knowledge Hub
  • Implementation of an international Dialogue Ambassadors Programme (trainings in Ireland, Finland, and online)
  • Creation of a Reconciliation Toolbox with practical methods for dialogue and healing
  • Development of a Dialogue Playbook based on lessons learned
  • Dissemination through articles, podcasts, policy recommendations, and multiplier events
