Every person carries a unique story within them. Sometimes these stories include trauma — invisible, yet deeply influencing learning, relationships, development, and self-perception.
The project StorySafe: Empathetic Avenues in Trauma-Informed Youth Work was created to support professionals — youth workers, educators, mentors, facilitators — in understanding these stories more deeply, working with greater care, and creating environments where everyone can feel safe and grow.
📅 On March 1, 12:00–17:00, we invite you to a warm and meaningful gathering dedicated to the trauma-informed approach. This approach not only recognizes the traces of trauma, but also helps restore inner resilience, develop self-regulation skills, and build truly inclusive spaces.
📍 Location: Tallinn (TBA)
🌿 During the event, we will explore how to integrate trauma-informed principles into educational and youth programs in order to support resilience and participation among young people. We will present materials developed within the project: a book featuring professionals’ stories, practical cards, and a roadmap for implementing the approach in daily work. We will also reflect on mindfulness, care, and empathy as tools for professional growth and burnout prevention.
✨ Bonus: all participants will receive the opportunity to visit a Spa — because caring for mental health begins with caring for yourself.
📍 The event will be held in English.
👩🏫 Facilitators: Julia Dem and Katerina Popkova — practitioners exploring how trauma-informed approaches can transform youth work systems.
